We understand fabric
Calhoun understands the mechanics of fabric covered buildings, and we understand the properties of fabric. Calhoun has developed specialized analysis which models the shape of fabric underload. Our fabric is produced to withstand harsh weather conditions and treated with ultraviolet stabilizers to protect it from the sun’s UV rays. This prevents the fabric membranes from weakening or breaking down, adding years to life for your fabric cover.
Polyethylene Fabric
We use polyethylene (PE) for our fabric structures. Because of the strength and durability of PE fabrics, semi-permanent structures can be economically built to last for over 25 years. PE fabrics have greater natural flexibility than PVC and typically less expensive, can withstand pulling forces without tearing easily, waterproof, and have lower environmental impact as it is recyclable and produce fewer toxins.
